The script that follows your voice.
Three ways to read, however you film.
With a separate camera, with this app, or on top of another app.
Nothing is recorded here — film with another camera.
People use it for Presentation practice · YouTube & Shorts · Online classes · Live streams · Podcasts & narration · Sermons & speeches · Interview prep · Conference keynotes
Everyone reads differently.
Text size, line height, letter spacing, alignment, the reading box. Tap the gear to change them, even mid-read. Try it right here.
Drag the orange corners on the screen to move and resize the reading box.
Mirroring is available in the Just read the script mode. Scroll mode is chosen before you start; the auto-scroll speed can change mid-read.
You don't have to read [smiling].
Voice tracking skips anything in square brackets and shows it briefly under the reading box when you get there. You can switch to round or curly brackets, or turn it off.
Hello everyone [smiling] and thank you for being here today.
Film it, caption it, cut the pauses.
Takes you record in the app are ready to edit the moment you stop.
- 01
Film while you read
Your script sits over the camera. Choose the resolution, frame rate and aspect ratio (9:16, 3:4, 1:1).
- 02
Time and WPM when you finish
See how long you read and your words per minute. Tap the video to open Captions & trim.
- 03
Add captions, pick a look
Choose None, Cut, Fade or Word, change the text color, background, outline, font and size, and drag the caption up or down.
- 04
Cut the pauses one by one
Gaps longer than 0.6 seconds are found for you. Listen to each and choose which to cut, or cut them all at once; cut gaps are shortened to 0.3 seconds or removed.
- 05
Save it with captions
The edited video is saved as a new video in Photos (Gallery on Android). Editing never changes your take; to keep the unedited take too, tap Save Video on the completion screen before you close it.
Caption timing follows the voice in your take. On iOS before 26, takes recorded with auto-scroll get no captions. On Android, captions use the device's offline speech recognition, so languages without it get no captions.
No network. No account. No leaks.
By default, speech recognition runs on your device, so your voice stays on the phone and VoiceScroll never receives your script.
All on-device
By default, your voice is processed locally. It works the same with Wi-Fi off, on a flight, or in a basement.
No account
No sign-up, no login, no profile. We have no idea who you are.
No ads, no data selling
No ad networks and no ads in the app. We never sell your data.
34 languages on iPhone and iPad, 26 on Android.
VoiceScroll works out your script’s language by itself. Arabic and Hebrew read right to left.
